The project

A warm nest for the earliest years

La Casa dels Ocellets was born from the wish to offer little ones a calm way to grow, full of connection and nature, as close to home as possible.

about me

Hi, I'm Montse

I’m Montserrat, educator and founder of La Casa dels Ocellets. I’ve long accompanied the earliest years of life, and I’ve learned that what children need most is calm, trust and time to be themselves.

That’s why I imagined a place that felt almost like an extension of home: a small group, familiar carers who don’t change, and the woods just a step away. A place where care grows from respect for each child’s rhythm.

Where the name comes from

The ocellets (little birds) are the smallest in the nest: fragile at first, but with a whole world to discover. Like them, children need a safe nest from which to grow, gain confidence and, one day, spread their wings.

Why a home daycare

After years accompanying young children, I wanted to create a space where each one could grow without rushing, in a small group and a homely setting. A warm, human alternative to the first steps away from home.

Why a home daycare
We want every child to feel seen, safe and free to dare to grow.

The way we accompany children draws on Waldorf pedagogy: respecting the rhythm of each stage, caring for the environment, and trusting play as the engine of learning.

Made for families like yours

For those who believe the earliest years call for calm, connection and plenty of nature.

Families seeking calm

A small group in a home prepared down to the detail, far from rush and noise.

First steps away from home

A small, stable team: familiar carers who don't change and accompany with tenderness.

Those who value nature

We go out to the woods and garden every day, so children learn with their whole body.
