What exactly is a mare de dia (childminder)?
A mare de dia cares for a very small group of children in her own home, in a warm, family setting. It's a gentle, human alternative to the first cycle of nursery, centred on attachment and respect for each child's pace.
What ages do you welcome?
We care for children from 10 months to 4 years — the stage when bonding and calm matter most.
How many children are in the group?
We keep a maximum ratio of 1 adult to 5 children. A small group lets us truly know each child and care for them with one key person.
Where are you?
We're in Bellaterra (Cerdanyola del Vallès, Barcelona), in a house with a garden and the forest right next door, where we go out every day.
What is the settling-in period like?
Settling-in is done respectfully and at each child's pace, alongside the family, so the move to our home feels safe and calm.
